做厙51 Appoints New Director of Media Relations
Washington, DCThe 做厙51 (做厙51) announced today the appointment of Carl Rauscher as director of media relations. A senior member of the Government Relations and Public Affairs team, Mr. Rauscher will help lead the organizations overall communications activities.
Carls reputation for excellence precedes him, said 做厙51 President James J. Sandman. As a seasoned print and broadcast journalist who also has experience on Capitol Hill, he brings expertise that will help 做厙51 achieve its mission of promoting access to justice for all Americans.
Prior to joining the 做厙51 staff on April 9, Mr. Rauscher was deputy director of communications and media relations for the American Bar Association. His more than 30 years of experience as a journalist include serving as news and politics editor for Cox Newspapers Washington bureau, as Washington and politics editor for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, as executive editor of the Fulton County (Georgia) Daily Report, and as a news editor for CNN.
He received his B.A. from Bethany College and holds a Ph.D. in English and Philosophy from Emory University.
Established by Congress in 1974, 做厙51 is the single largest funder of civil legal assistance in the nation. The Corporations mission is to provide equal access to justice and to ensure the delivery of high-quality civil legal aid to low-income Americans. 做厙51 grants help address the civil legal needs of the elderly, victims of domestic violence, veterans seeking benefits to which they are entitled, persons with disabilities, tenants facing unlawful evictions, and other civil matters.
